2009/2010
Thank you to all of our wonderful members who have stepped up this year to take on either an Executive Committee position or Executive Board position. It is with your help and dedication in planning this year that will make 2009-2010 even better than last year.
At our first meeting we welcomed over 40 new members to our group. Wow! It was truly an amazing sight to see all the parents who want better opportunities for their young children and welcome back to old friends who have remained constant in their belief that our group does make a difference in the lives of their children.
As has become tradition, our first meeting was filled with information outlining our PTA year and all the fun stuff to come, including the beginning process for revising our bylaws and adopting the budget.
We had many fun outings including a fall fest at Rockin’ R Ranch, story time, apple picking, a fun blow off steam party and a fun lunch at Panera.
Our Fall Resale Fundraiser was a great success. This is the first time in several years that we have held a resale in the fall and with little time to plan and get everything in order; Carrie Baumgartner did a great job.
Looking forward to our October meeting and hearing our speaker on family/work/life balance, no one needs it more than I. Also, we will be doing the final presentation and voting to adopt our bylaw revision. Hope to see you at our October meeting!
